What is Sweater Repair Kit?

Our Sweater Repair Kit contains everything you need to repair minor damage to your sweater, such as holes, pilling and fraying. The kit is suitable for wool, cashmere and other knitted fabrics.

What's in the WearRepair Sweater Kit? The kit contains everything you need to repair a damaged sweater – use the felt wool and needles for your woollen sweater, or the felt patches with regular thread and needle for mixed fabrics — no extra purchases needed. Everything is packed in a compact tin that will come in handy for years after the first repair. What's inside the kit:

What damage can I repair with this kit?

The kit is designed for the most common sweater repairs: small holes, thin spots, or to cover a stain. It works best on knitted fabrics, including wool, cashmere blends and cotton knitwear. For large tears or tailored garments such as blazers we recommend a professional tailor — but for most beloved knitwear this kit does the job. No experience required.

Do I need sewing experience?

Not at all. Wear/repair is designed for complete beginners. The included instructions walk you through the repair step by step, and the most-used technique — felting — is simple to learn and satisfying to do. If you can thread a needle, you can repair a sweater. Beginner-friendly.

How many repairs can I get from one kit?

It depends on the size of the repair and the colours used, but most kits are good for around 10 small repairs.

Is the kit available as a gift?

Absolutely — it makes a genuinely useful and thoughtful gift. The tin packaging is gift-ready as it arrives. If you'd like it sent directly to the recipient with a personal message, add a note at checkout and we'll take care of the rest.

What is the environmental impact of the kit itself?

We designed the kit to minimise waste: the tin is reusable and refillable, packaging is kept to a minimum, and we source components from EU suppliers where possible to limit transport distance. As a start-up we're still learning. We're currently looking for an alternative to the foam pad, as that is the only plastic material in the kit.

The biggest environmental impact of WearRepair is the clothes that don't end up in the bin. One repaired sweater is worth more than any packaging choice.

Are the materials natural or synthetic?

The kit contains a mix of natural and blended fibres to cover different fabric types. Wool felt is included for natural-fibre garments; blended options provide good coverage for mixed-fibre knitwear. We continue to review our material choices and will keep you updated on improvements.

Who is behind WearRepair?

WearRepair is a small, independent brand based in the Netherlands. It grew out of a simple frustration: repairing clothes should be easy, but finding the right materials and knowing where to start — that rarely is. The sweater kit is our first product. Ordering & payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept iDEAL (via Mollie), credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order as long as it has not yet been shipped. Log in to your account and go to your order to submit a cancellation request.


Shipping

How quickly will my order be shipped?

Orders are processed and shipped within 1–2 business days via PostNL. Delivery within the Netherlands takes 1–2 business days. For EU countries we allow 3–7 business days.

What are the shipping costs?

Within the Netherlands - shipping is free. For EU countries - shipping costs are €12.95.

Can I track my order?

Yes, once your order has been shipped you will receive an email with a Track & Trace code.


Returns

How can I return a product?

You can submit a return request via your customer account. Log in, go to your order and click 'Request return'. You have 30 days to return a product.

When will I receive my refund?

After receipt and inspection of the returned product we will process the refund within 5–10 business days.
